Need a photo under 20 KB for a job form, or a picture under 100 KB for an email? This image resizer in KB lets you set the exact file size you want and does the rest. Type a maximum (and, if your form asks for it, a minimum) size in kilobytes, choose pixels, centimetres or inches if you need fixed dimensions, and download a sharp image that fits — in seconds, for free, without uploading anything.

How to Resize an Image in KB

1. Add your photo

Click Select Images, drag photos onto the box, take a new picture with Use Camera, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl + V. You can add one image or a whole batch.

2. Pick a target size

Tap a quick preset such as 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB, or type your own maximum and minimum size. Exam presets for IBPS, SSC and passport photos fill in the size and the dimensions together.

3. Set dimensions if your form needs them

Leave Keep original size selected when only the file size matters. If a portal asks for, say, 200×230 pixels or 3.5×4.5 cm, choose the unit and type the width and height. Use Crop to choose exactly which part of the photo is kept.

4. Download

Each image shows its new size, dimensions and a green tick when it fits your limit. Download images one by one, or press Download all to get every resized file in a single ZIP.

Resize Photo and Signature for Exam Forms

Most online applications in India — bank, SSC, railway, state PSC and university forms — reject a photo or signature that is even slightly too big or too small. The presets below match commonly published requirements, so you can prepare both files in one go.

PresetDimensionsFile size
IBPS Photo200 × 230 px20–50 KB
IBPS Signature140 × 60 px10–20 KB
SSC Photo3.5 × 4.5 cm20–50 KB
SSC Signature4.0 × 2.0 cm10–20 KB
Passport photo35 × 45 mm at 300 DPINo fixed limit

Requirements can change between notifications, so always check the latest official advertisement and adjust the width, height or size limits if they differ. Every field in the tool can be edited.

Resize Image in cm, mm, Inches or Pixels

Screens measure images in pixels, but many forms describe photos in centimetres. The two are linked by DPI (dots per inch): pixels = centimetres ÷ 2.54 × DPI. A 3.5 cm wide photo at 200 DPI is therefore about 276 pixels wide, and at 300 DPI it is about 413 pixels. Choose the unit, enter the size, pick the DPI your form mentions (or 300 for printing), and the tool converts everything for you. The DPI value is also written into the saved JPG or PNG, so printers and upload checkers read the correct physical size.

How We Hit the Exact File Size

Instead of guessing a quality setting, the tool tries several compression levels and keeps the best-looking version that is still under your limit. If a photo is far too large for the limit and you haven’t fixed the dimensions, it gently reduces the pixel size as well, so the picture stays clear rather than turning blocky. When a form also demands a minimum size — “between 10 KB and 20 KB”, for example — and your image ends up smaller, the file is topped up with harmless padding inside the JPG, so it passes the check without changing a single visible pixel.

Features That Make This KB Resizer Different

  • Exact KB targeting with both maximum and minimum limits.
  • Ready-made presets for 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB, 200 KB, signatures and popular exam formats.
  • Pixels, cm, mm, inches or percentage with a DPI setting written into the file.
  • Crop with a locked shape that matches the dimensions you entered.
  • Clean signature mode that turns grey paper white and makes ink darker.
  • Batch resizing with a single ZIP download.
  • JPG, PNG and WEBP output.
  • 100% private — images are processed on your own device.

Tips for a Clear Photo at a Small Size

  • Crop away empty background first; fewer pixels leave more room for detail.
  • Take photos in daylight against a plain light wall.
  • Use JPG for photos — PNG files are much larger for the same picture.
  • For signatures, sign with a dark pen on white paper and turn on Clean signature.
  • If a result looks soft, raise the limit slightly, for example from 20 KB to 30 KB, if the form allows it.

Is It Safe to Resize Images Here?

Yes. Photos, signatures and ID documents never leave your phone or computer. Resizing, cropping and compression all run inside your browser, and the images are cleared when you close the page. Need to scan a paper document first? Try our free photo scanner online, then bring the result back here to shrink it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I resize an image to 20 KB?

Add your image, tap the 20 KB preset and download the result. The tool finds the best quality that stays under 20 KB and shows the final size before you save it.

How can I reduce photo size in KB without losing quality?

Crop out unnecessary background, keep JPG format and let the tool choose the compression. It keeps the highest quality that fits your limit and reduces the dimensions only when it has to.

Can I resize a photo to a size between 10 KB and 20 KB?

Yes. Enter 20 as the maximum and 10 as the minimum. If the image would be smaller than 10 KB, it is safely padded to fall inside the range.

How do I resize a photo in cm?

Choose Centimetres as the size unit, type the width and height, and select the DPI your form asks for. The tool converts the size to pixels and saves the DPI in the file.

Does this image resizer work on mobile?

Yes. It works in Chrome, Safari and other modern browsers on Android phones, iPhones, tablets and computers. You can even take a photo directly with your camera.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All resizing happens in your browser, so your photos and documents stay on your device.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Add several images together; each one is resized with the same settings and you can download them all as one ZIP file.
