How to Resize a Signature Online
1. Photograph or scan your signature
Sign with a black or dark blue pen on plain white paper. Take a photo from directly above in good light, or use our photo scanner online for a perfectly flat result.

Photos of signatures often come out grey, yellowish or shadowed, and some portals reject them as unclear. The Clean signature option fixes this automatically: it finds the paper colour, turns the background pure white and makes the pen strokes darker and sharper. Turn on Black & white as well if your form asks for a black signature only.
Signature Resize 10 to 20 KB — How It Works
Signatures are simple images, so a properly cropped signature is often smaller than 10 KB once compressed — and many portals reject files that are too small. The tool solves both problems. It first compresses the signature to the best quality that fits under 20 KB. If the result is below 10 KB, it adds invisible padding inside the JPG so the file lands safely within the 10–20 KB range without changing how the signature looks.
Resize Signature Width and Height in cm
When a form gives the signature size in centimetres, select Centimetres as the unit, enter the width and height, and choose the DPI. At 200 DPI a 4 cm × 2 cm signature becomes 315 × 157 pixels; at 300 DPI it becomes 472 × 236 pixels. The DPI is saved in the file so its printed size matches what you entered.
Tips for a Signature That Gets Accepted
- Sign a little larger than usual so the strokes stay clear when the image is made small.
- Avoid lined or coloured paper.
- Keep your hand and phone shadow off the page.
- Crop close to the signature — empty space makes the actual signature tiny.
