Removal engine: open-source Gemini Watermark Remover (MIT License, © GargantuaX and AllenK). Your images never leave your device.

Every image you create with Google Gemini — including pictures made with the Nano Banana image model — comes with a small sparkle logo in the bottom-right corner. This free Gemini watermark remover takes that logo off cleanly. Drop in your image and you get the same picture back without the sparkle, at full resolution, in a few seconds. Nothing is uploaded: the whole process runs in your own browser.

How to Remove the Gemini Watermark

1. Download the original image from Gemini

Use the download button in Gemini rather than a screenshot. The original file keeps the watermark exactly where the remover expects it, which gives a perfect result.

2. Add it to the tool

Click Select Images, drag the files onto the box, or copy an image and paste it with Ctrl + V. You can add several images at once.

3. Check the result

The sparkle is detected and removed automatically. Drag the slider to compare before and after, or press Zoom to watermark to inspect the corner up close.

4. Download

Save the cleaned image as PNG (lossless), JPG or WEBP. With several images, press Download all to get them in one ZIP file.

How This Gemini Watermark Remover Works

The Gemini sparkle is not painted over your image like a sticker. It is a semi-transparent white logo blended onto the picture with a fixed shape and fixed transparency. Because that pattern is known, the blending can be reversed with simple maths — a technique called reverse alpha blending. For every pixel under the logo, the tool calculates the colour that was there before the logo was added. Nothing is invented or “guessed” by AI, so textures, faces and text in the corner come back exactly as Gemini drew them.

The engine also recognises the different logo sizes and positions Gemini uses for different image sizes and aspect ratios, and checks the result to make sure the mark is really gone.

Features That Beat Other Watermark Removers

  • Lossless removal — the original pixels are restored, not blurred or patched.
  • Full resolution — your image keeps its exact width and height.
  • Before/after slider with a one-click zoom to the watermark area.
  • Batch processing — clean many images and download them as a ZIP.
  • PNG, JPG or WEBP output.
  • Stronger pass for images that were slightly edited after download.
  • Paste from clipboard and drag-and-drop.
  • 100% private — images are processed on your device and never uploaded.
  • Free, no sign-up, no limits and no new watermark added.

Gemini Watermark vs SynthID

Google marks AI images in two ways. The visible watermark is the small sparkle you can see in the corner; this tool removes it. SynthID is an invisible digital watermark woven into the image itself, which Google uses to identify AI-generated content. SynthID cannot be seen, and this tool does not remove or change it — so your image can still be recognised as AI-generated by tools that check for SynthID.

Why Is the Watermark Still There?

In a few cases the remover cannot find the sparkle or leaves a faint trace:

  • The image was cropped or resized after download, so the logo is no longer where Gemini placed it.
  • It is a screenshot rather than the downloaded file; screenshots change the size and quality.
  • The image was compressed again by WhatsApp, Instagram or another app.
  • The picture is not from Gemini — this tool only targets the Gemini sparkle.

Try the Try stronger removal button first. If that does not help, download the original image from Gemini again and use that file.

Use It Responsibly

This tool is meant for images you created yourself or have the right to edit, such as AI artwork for your own projects, presentations, thumbnails or designs. Removing the visible logo does not change who owns the image or what Google’s terms allow. Where a platform, client or law asks you to label AI-generated content, keep doing so.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I remove the Gemini watermark from an image?

Download the image from Gemini, add it to this page and the sparkle in the bottom-right corner is removed automatically. Then download the cleaned PNG, JPG or WEBP file.

Is this Gemini watermark remover free?

Yes. It is completely free with no sign-up, no daily limit and no watermark of our own.

Does it reduce image quality?

No. The tool reverses the exact blending used to add the logo, so the corner is restored without blur. Saving as PNG keeps the whole image lossless.

Does it work with Nano Banana images?

Yes. Images made with Gemini’s Nano Banana image model carry the same visible sparkle, and the tool removes it in the same way.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The removal runs entirely in your browser. Only the open-source removal engine is downloaded when you first use the page; your images stay on your device.

Does it remove the SynthID watermark?

No. SynthID is an invisible watermark inside the image. This tool removes only the visible sparkle logo and does not change SynthID.

Can I remove watermarks from many images at once?

Yes. Add multiple images together; each is cleaned automatically and you can download them all as one ZIP file.

Why does the tool say no watermark was found?

The image may have been cropped, resized, screenshotted or re-compressed, or it may not come from Gemini. Try the stronger removal option or use the original file downloaded from Gemini.
